When I ran for Governor of New Jersey in 2013, I had a close group of friends that stood up with me against Chris Christie when many wouldn't. Through thick and thin, one of my closest allies and fiercest advocates in that fight was my friend, Bonnie Watson Coleman.
More than ever, we need someone in Congress who will not falter in the face of opposition. The people of New Jersey's 12th district need someone that will stand with President Obama and Democrats in Congress against the Tea Party to protect Social Security and Medicare, fight for pay equity, and work to get guns off our streets. It is for this reason that I have chosen to both fully endorse Bonnie Watson Coleman for Congress and serve as a co-chair on her campaign committee.
Bonnie Watson Coleman is a strong, principled Democrat who won't back down from protecting New Jersey's families from the Tea Party in Washington, DC.
